So I've been just starting to learn Solidworks.   DIY learning.  So I figured I would play around with designing a LED fixture.   This has 120 LEDs on the fixture, it is a 60" long heatsink.

I've been debating over 3 individual fixtures, or one big fixture.   The large fixture will be less wires running everywhere, and allow me to space out LED's powered by a single driver.........

Center Braces on the tank are there.  Don't want lights directly over the brace.   I'm going to leave the optics a little broader on those edges, probably 80degree optice.   Probably put 60degress in the centers.

Skimmer installed and running.   Being an external skimmer, it has an anti-overflow feature built into it, but I think I'm going to build a small acrylic pan to fit under the skimmer, so that I can detect water and shutdown the skimmer.

Or, if you have enough vertical height, just plumb the pan into your sump so you dont have to rely on electrical components
75G Mixed Reef w/ 30G sump/refuge

Electrical Engineers do it on impulse, with faster rise times, with more power, and less resistance at higher frequencies, without shorts, until it Hertz

The quarantine tank needed some new fish.   Everyone is doing well, but going into Hypo-salinity treatment.

Powder Blue Tang, and a trio of clowns.

Consider adding one of those little real-time Ammonia suction stickers. The ones that change colors if ammonia is present. It can be really hard to deal with in Quarantine and creep up on you pretty quick

I was thinking about that....did you have pH problems as well?

No PH issues but I don't really worry about PH all that much unless it goes below 7.80. When running Hypo be sure to only add baking soda as a buffer not baked baking soda. Although a protein skimmer won't work with Hypo you can still run it to help oxygenate the water which would help with PH.

My PB Tang is hanging out in QT in HypoSalinity Water.  1.009.    I was on the road all week (Wife was watching the tank)  Noticed today, that he has stopped scratching his gills.   Good sign.   Now 4 weeks in hypo and 4 weeks in Normal QT.   He is devouring algae sheets, only picking at other food.

After weeks of planning, I have most of the components here for my LED Light Build.   In this build, I decided to go with a single heat sink covering the whole tank.  Also, I am going to screw down the LED's, instead of epoxy.   Well, 280 holes drilled, tapped #4-40.    Not sure that I'd do that again, but it's over.   And only 2 Broken taps.
